The Asian Machinery Manufacturing Industry Exhibition, Saudi Arabia Industry Exhibition, South Africa International Industry Exhibition, Kenya International Industry Exhibition... International exhibition billboards appeared on the land of Central China, and a conference to help Henan equipment go global is underway. On the afternoon of June 26th, the "Henan Equipment Going Global" industry promotion and docking meeting was held at Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd., jointly organized by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office.
The export of goods is 528 billion yuan, and Henan's equipment development has vitality, resilience, and potential
- "China Railway Equipment's shield tunneling machines are exported to Italy for 270 million euros, and Pinggao Electric Energy Storage Equipment is exported to South Africa for 160 million US dollars... Henan's key enterprises are driving export development by going global." Sun Qi, a second level inspector of the Henan Provincial Department of Commerce, introduced in her speech that in 2023, the province's import and export of goods reached 810.8 billion yuan, ranking 9th in the country. Among them, exports amounted to 528 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4%. There are 11844 enterprises with import and export performance in the province. The overall trend of foreign trade is showing stability while improving quality.
- At the docking meeting, Bai Bugang, a second level inspector from the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, shared: "The equipment manufacturing industry in Henan should not be afraid of 'rolling', but should not fall into the vicious circle of blind 'rolling' prices. To 'roll', new technologies, products, and models must be rolled up. Through continuous innovation, cost reduction and efficiency increase must be achieved to win market competitive advantages."
Bai Bugang introduced, "In recent years, Henan has been focusing on building a '7+28+N' modern industrial system. Advanced equipment, as 7 trillion level advantageous clusters, focuses on cultivating and strengthening 7 key industrial chains such as advanced engineering machinery and new power (new energy) equipment, and deepening the expansion of 4 new equipment specialized, refined, and new sub sectors such as high-performance bearings. The industrial level has been continuously improving. From January to May this year, the growth rate of the equipment industry added value in our province was 9.5%, which is 1.8 percentage points higher than the provincial industrial added value growth rate (7.7% in the province), demonstrating strong development vitality, resilience, and potential."
"Although Henan is located inland, we have great confidence in Henan's enterprises going global." Huang Zhaohua believes that Henan's enterprises have a solid industrial foundation and competitive products, strong advantages in their respective fields, and a very international perspective. A group of excellent enterprise representatives have emerged.
In October 2023, the Henan Province Advanced Equipment Industry Alliance was established. "The industrial alliance is the ship for enterprises to go global. We need to organize enterprises to go global, unite and move forward together." Zhang Hua, Secretary General of the Henan Advanced Equipment Industry Alliance and Executive Vice President of the Provincial Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, said that agricultural machinery, tunnel shield machines, coal mining machinery, mining machinery, and power equipment are all the flagship products of our province's going global. Through industrial alliances, cooperation and coordination between different enterprises and industries can be promoted, and the organic integration of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain can be promoted, forming a joint force to jointly respond to market competition and challenges.
"Going global is just the first step, but more importantly, it is to integrate and establish a foothold in the international market, continuously expand market share, establish the brand of 'Made in China', and win reputation among international customers." Zhang Hua said that the next step will fully leverage the organizational and coordinating role of industrial alliances, organize enterprises to conduct targeted overseas inspections, actively connect with top domestic and foreign exhibitions and trade platforms, participate in international exhibitions, visit and exchange learning, make good use of both domestic and foreign markets, and help enterprises and industries go global.
